Health Aids Franchises
Health Aids Franchise information and details.
Health aids franchises assist those people who need medical equipment and supplies so that they can be released from a hospital or other health care setting to their home or so that they can remain at home instead of having to enter a long-term care facility. Health aids can include anything from simple walking canes or crutches to walkers, bedside toilets, portable and fixed oxygen units, hospital beds, to personal and hygienic care items.
Health aid franchises can be operated out of a building or on-line, with in-person delivery available. Those operated out of a building can either be "stand-alone"; that is, the building, or at least a portion of the building, is dedicated to that business, or can operate in conjunction with a pharmacy, either sharing space in the same building or occupying an adjoining or adjacent building. It is often necessary to demonstrate how health aids work; therefore, those who operate or manage health aids franchises should have a real compassion for people who suffer from health problems. It helps to have a degree or certification in some part of the health care field, such as nursing or patient aide, but this is not always necessary. A business degree, with appropriate training in the set-up and operation of the health aids that one sells will also suffice.
Permits and certifications from health department, municipalities and other places may be required, especially if the health aids include sharp instruments, such as needles, or disposal of hazardous waste materials.
